Senior Electrical Engineer - Transformer Standards (MJW143)

The Role: Providing peer review and technical support in respect to the development, review and dissemination of transmission network technical policies and standards, the Senior Electrical Engineer will compile transmission standards and policies that comply with all applicable external standards and regulations, are aligned with business objectives and are developed in collaboration with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Requires experience in design and specification of transformers and reactive equipment associated with transmission networks. You will need excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to integrate into the business to obtain information. An understanding of risk and compliance management and its application in the business will be highly regarded.
The successful candidate will be a qualified electrical engineer with significant experience in developing transmission standards and policies with a focus on power transformers and reactive plant, an understanding of the criticality of standards to business outcomes and has the desire and capability to lead and develop a team of professionals.

Minimum Requirements: We will accept applications from candidates with a degree qualification in engineering and at least 10 years relevant post graduate experience. Eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia in the professional category of Professional Engineer is essential.
